Yee Lands Major Endorsement from California?s Leading LGBT Civil Rights Organization.
DALY CITY ? Assemblymember Leland Yee (D-San Francisco/Daly City) landed yet another major endorsement today for his State Senate bid from Equality California (EQCA), the state?s leading Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender (LGBT) civil rights and advocacy organization. In addition to leading the fight for marriage equality, EQCA has moved California from a state with extremely limited rights for LGBT individuals to the state with the most comprehensive LGBT civil rights protections in the nation.
?Assemblyman Yee has been more than a solid vote for LGBT equality, he has been a true leader,? said Geoff Kors, EQCA Executive Director. ?We need his leadership in the California State Senate.?
