A personal note from Vicky and I. It’s great to see Trixies open again and great to see some of our good friends like Diamond Dunhill and it was nice to meet the new owner, Sean David, he’s a really nice and hard working guy.
Trixies is one of the few bars left that’s a 7 day a week Trans Bar. I’ve watched other Trans Bars either close their doors entirely or turn into a place for Bachelorette’s to go to see a show. Trixies is not a Part Time Trans Bar and it’s not a Bar where Bachelorette’s come to see a freak show. Trixies is a bar where Trans People, whether M2F, F2M, CD, TV, TS, Pre-Op, Non-Op or Post-Op, Butch or Femme, their Friends and their Admirer’s (like myself) can feel comfortable and feel at home. There aren’t many bars left like this and we can all show our support by frequenting Trixies.
Vicky and I and many of our friends will be spending many a Saturday evening at Trixie’s and hope to see it become a regular hangout for the URNA Community that live in the area or those that are visiting. If you don’t see me there on a given Saturday, chances are that it’s because I’m on call for my day job… we all have to earn a living:)
For those of you who don’t know where Hollywood, FL is, it’s about 30 minutes north of Miami and 15 minutes south of Ft. Lauderdale.
