Frank DeCaro of Sirius Satellite Radio kicks off NYC Gay Pride Weekend 2006 with a special countdown of The Top Ten Gayest Songs Ever on Friday, June 23, 12 p.m. ET on The Frank DeCaro Show on SIRIUS OutQ, America?s first and only 24/7 national GLBT broadcast outlet. ?Bosom Buddies,? the Jerry Herman-penned paean to friendship as sung by Lucille Ball and Bea Arthur in the deliciously bad 1974 movie version of ?Mame,? has been named the Gayest Song Ever by Frank DeCaro, host of SIRIUS Satellite Radio?s The Frank DeCaro Show. The show tune tops a hot list that includes artists as disparate as David Bowie and Doris Day.

?I considered tracks from Scissor Sisters? ?Take Your Mama? to Little Peggy March?s ?I Wish I Were a Princess,? and performers from Dead or Alive to Tammy Wynette before settling on these eleven ? there was a two-way tie for #10! ? as the gayest songs ever,? says radio host/TV personality/comedian Frank DeCaro, a panelist on the Game Show Network?s ?I?ve Got a Secret and a six-and-a-half-year veteran of ?The Daily Show?.

DeCaro and his Los Angeles-based cohost Doria Biddle will count down the Top Ten Gayest Songs Ever on The Frank DeCaro Show beginning at noon on Friday, June 23. The live comedy talk show, heard nationally from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. ET weekdays on SIRIUS OutQ 106, America?s GLBT station, will kick off the channel?s weekend-long celebration of Gay Pride. SIRIUS OutQ?s on-air personalities will appear in parades in Atlanta, Minneapolis and New York on Sunday June 25.

The songs were chosen based on their appeal to the so-called ?gay sensibility,? that hilarious mix of chic, camp, and cool that defines ?The Frank DeCaro Show.
