Chicago To Vote On School For Gay, Lesbian, and Transgender Teens

On October 22nd, the Chicago Board of Education will have their final vote on the School for Social Justice Pride Campus. The school, whose opening is recommended by Chicago school officials, would be the city's first such school.
Arne Duncan, Chicago's Public Schools head, plans to recommend the school as well as 17 other similar campuses to the board. If approved, the campuses are expected to open in the fall of 2009 and 2010.
