Gay, transgender ordinance headed to vote

Despite being safeguarded under Iowa law, the Burlington Human Rights Commission believes language should be added to the city code that would list sexual orientation and gender identification as protected classes.
Councilman Jim Davidson doesn't see it that way. Based on his religious beliefs, Davidson said Wednesday that adding language to protect gays and transgender people would be an endorsement of "lifestyles that are unacceptable."

kyra 10/02/2008 15:03 well mr. davidson, allow me to remove one of your eyes so you can watch with the other one while it spins in a blender. and during this occurrence, you can listen to me read the definition of "unacceptable" from the dictionary ^_^
