A Teesside transgender patient has thanked Gazette readers for their messages supporting him in his bid to join the army as a man.
Nicholas Darroch, 21, who was born a little girl called Siobhan, has had his "transphobic" image of Middlesbrough altered after sharing his story about coming to terms with gender dysphoria with the Evening Gazette.
