A personal note from Vicky and I. It's great to see Trixies open again and great to see some of our good friends like Diamond Dunhill and it was nice to meet the new owner, Sean David, he's a really nice and hard working guy.
Trixies is one of the few bars left that's a 7 day a week Trans Bar. I've watched other Trans Bars either close their doors entirely or turn into a place for Bachelorette's to go to see a show. Trixies is not a Part Time Trans Bar and it's not a Bar where Bachelorette's come to see a freak show. Trixies is a bar where Trans People, whether M2F, F2M, CD, TV, TS, Pre-Op, Non-Op or Post-Op, Butch or Femme, their Friends and their Admirer's (like myself) can feel comfortable and feel at home. There aren't many bars left like this and we can all show our support by frequenting Trixies.
Vicky and I and many of our friends will be spending many a Saturday evening at Trixie's and hope to see it become a regular hangout for the URNA Community that live in the area or those that are visiting. If you don't see me there on a given Saturday, chances are that it's because I'm on call for my day job... we all have to earn a living:)
For those of you who don't know where Hollywood, FL is, it's about 30 minutes north of Miami and 15 minutes south of Ft. Lauderdale.

Jon 10/09/2009 15:06 Like most bars, Friday and Saturday nights are the best nights because they are the most crowded. Vicky and I live right down the street from Trixies but we normally don't go out during the week, so, neither of us have been there Monday through Thursday, but, Trixies is always a Trans Bar, 7 days a week, so, although it may not be as crowded during the week, you will have a good time and it will be what you expect, a Trans Bar:) Too bad you won't be in town for Saturday night as Vicky and I will be there.
Vanessa Lee 10/09/2009 15:00 Hi Randi, sorry for the late response. The Best Place in LA is the Oxwood Inn. Although it is not 7 days a week, Wed and Saturdays are Trans nights. The place is packed with beautiful gurls. I get dressed up and go dancing there whenever I am in town. I am thinking of going to Trixies next week when I am in Miami. What is the best night to go? I am there Tuesday - Friday. I leave Friday.- Laura Carrillo 9/03/2009 23:37 I will be at Trixies more often too. I was pleasantly surprised to see Sean David's commitment to improve Trixies to the point of having the whole place re-vamped. Investing on the TG community is something you do not see very often. I think this effort is worth promoting :-)
