HELP

Hey, it has been 4 years since I took over urnotalone from Jon. Funny, it seems a lot longer, but I digress.

I feel I owe the members an update on the site. Initially, I thought about telling you what I thought was important, but then had a brain drizzle (less than a brain storm, but you still need an umbrella).

So I thought, why not ask the members what they would like to know or suggest.

To help, here are a couple of topics/suggestions:

- where are we on improving/fixing things on the site

- what happens if something happens to me (open to suggestions)

- any suggestions on improving the site and how to pay for them

- really, anything else

Looking forward to your suggestions. You can email me at admin@urnotalone.com or directly at pameladallas@gmail.com

  • Claudia likes the girls 6/05/2019 19:17 Hi - I think keeping everyone up to date on he pressing issues of the LGBT community is important. Making an investment in the things that the LGBT community are passionate about provides a better sense of community. With a passionate community, membership and contributions will increase. More on how to make this happen will come later from me, but for now, trying keeping the current issues current. Here is a new posting I picked up from Axios.com today: https://www.axios.com/biden-vows-to-protect-lgbtq-rights-attacks-trump-9364bcab-617a-451e-b464-11e337702f4a.html

Congrats on making it a lasting success; I bow every time you come into chat to show my gratitude to you for saving this place! I am big on gratitude, but not so big on ideas. Maybe a social media presence would bring in more members? Maybe more advertising would bring in revenue - local bars and shops could be canvassed for ad spots. I occasionally click on ads from here just to register a hit. Anyway, thanks again, bow, and if I do think of something, I will mention. Ani Cherte.
  • Michelle 3/01/2019 09:34 Hi Pam! I think the single most important change would be to have the site and chat use SSL encryption. The nature of the conversations on here are highly sensitive for most of us and knowing we are being protected from snooping would be great!
