After working as an officer for Houston Police Department for 24 years, Sgt. Bruce Oliver is used to injuries on the job. However, after a police chase about a month ago, Oliver realized that receiving medical help for any wounds would reveal his long-held secret.
So at a new conference Friday, Oliver announced he has been receiving medical treatment to undergo sex reassignment surgery.

Washington, D.C. - ExxonMobil shareholders voted with record support for a resolution to add "sexual orientation" to the company's written equal employment opportunity policy. The percentage of shares voted in favor of the proposal has grown each of the last seven years, with 34.6 percent of shares voted in favor of the policy this year, an increase from 29.4 percent in 2005. A more than five percent increase is exceptional for a shareholder vote and represents about 1.75 billion total shares voted in favor of the proposal.

Officer DeliciousA West Palm Beach, Florida police officer dressed in drag in an attempt to trap and ticket motorists at intersections. Officer Terry Golden, also known as "Officer Delicious" issued several $183.50 citations on Wednesday at Palm Beach Lakes and Okeechobee boulevards.
Using a radio to call in violations to waiting motorcycle cops, Golden was able to rake in $13,579 in revenue in an hour-and-a-half of street walking.

Toronto - A controversial survey is making the rounds among teachers at the Toronto District School Board. It's asking its 30-thousand employees to identify their sexual orientation, as well as their ethnicity.
The survey is voluntary, and is designed to make sure the board's hiring and promotion practices are fair. Employees will be asked to identify themselves as bisexual, gay, heterosexual, lesbian, transgendered or transexual.
The results will be compiled this summer, and presented to the board likely in the fall.
